Parenting

Systematic Training for Effective Parenting, STEP, began in 1976 and has become the most recognized and used parent education materials in North America; making a worldwide impact on parent education. The STEP parenting program teaches effective parenting techniques, encourages mutual respect between parent and child, builds skills that reinforce cooperation, responsibility, and self-reliance. This program is geared toward parents or legal guardians who do not normally seek or complete mental health or parent education treatment for their children’s problem behaviors.
